MAGAZINE MANIFESTO

The magazine is a non-commercial, free and experimental publication. The content has to be critical and without any boundaries in the cretive process. To get such results we need creative and groundbreaking photographers & designers working as an international collective. They must be open to criticism among themselves and from the viewers in order to get the best results.

The magazine reader can be every creative and inspired artist or a any person looking for visual inspiration.  Moreover it can be anyone who knows how to use the Internet and wants to experience a new digital photography magazine.

This magazine must be accessible, attractive and visible. The content must be surprising and inspiring to the readers, and at the same time give them the pleasure of viewing. This is the reason we want the photographers to produce boundless, non-mainstream and engaging content.

Migration is the movement of people from one country or locality to another. There are different reasons why people choose to migrate and the list of them can be very long. But one thing is common – everyone tries to make their own way in a strange new land. Nothing comes easy, nothing can be taken for granted. It has a very strong impact on one’s emotional life. The shades of feelings accompanying a new life, sophisticated dreams and irrational desires that push one forward on the search of

the unknown build up an INNER PORTRAIT OF A MIGRANT. And this is what we would like to closely review in the first issue of our magazine.

Before you come to the exchange we would like you to reflect on the subject and send us (altvis.group@gmail.com):

• 3 samples of photographs (.jpg.) that will show the idea that you would like to develop during the exchange.Please remember that we expect you to do creative photography (not documentary or journalism!).

• short description (up to 100 words) of the idea you want to show through your photographs. It’s important for us to gain the knowledge how do you perceive the subject and what are the topics that you are mostly interested in.

• a list of light equipment (only if necessary) that you might need during the exchange to take pictures and illustrate your ideas.

Deadline for sending them to us is the 7th of October.
